This bread has a very crispy crust and the flax seeds become toasted during the baking process and gives our crust its very distinctive taste. The crumb is firm and has a nice moisture content.
Bread is always enjoyed the most the day it is baked, however our bread has a high Rye flour content which acts as a natural preservative and can be kept for 4 or more days. It is excellent for toast, French Toast, open faced sandwiches, bread puddings and croutons.

Our organic oats have been steel rolled under intense pressure. Our dough ageing process softens them and they add a distinctive flavor and texture to our bread. You can actually see the oats in our Rolled Oat Bread.

Our Jam is made in our own kitchen using the simplest process possible. We mix the rhubarb with sugar and water, bring it to a boil, add a little pectin and cook till thickened. All the natural flavors are retained in this quick process.
